Aruba
Located in the Caribbean off the coast of Venezuela this Dutch island makes for an excellent vacation spot. Wind there make the weather delightful, add beauty to the scenery as they bend trees, as well as create waves for surfers. The weather is sunny throughout the year and even the architecture will amaze you as it is a mix of Dutch and Caribbean influences. Oranjestad, the capital, contains most of the island’s hotels and restaurants. Aruba also contains the largest national park in the Caribbean in the Airkok National Park. Thanks to its location, Aruba is protected from the Atlantic Hurricane Belt making it safe to visit throughout the whole year.
Eagle Beach is Aruba’s biggest and most stunning beach. It is located on the west coast very close to Oranjestad making it easily accessible as well. There are several activities at Eagle Beach as well such as snorkeling, jet skiing, and kayaking. You don’t have to worry about it being too crowded thanks to it being elongated. Palm Beach is another large one in Aruba that extends for two miles. It is even less crowded than Eagle Beach but still has plenty of activities. In Conchi, also on the west coast, you’ll find the natural pool. It’s a formation of volcanic rock in the Caribbean Sea that can be accessed by foot.
Feeling lucky? Then head to the Marriot Resort located at the northern end of Palm Beach. The resort has a casino that features a multitude of gaming tables and slot machines. This is where you can get the Vegas experience while at the Caribbean. The casino also has multiple ongoing shows making it a major tourist attraction on the island.
Pinchos Grill & Bar is the place to go for a romantic dinner. It is built on the water overlooking the beautiful sunset making it the perfect spot for a nighttime romantic meal. The food there is mostly Caribbean seafood that will delight your palate.
If you’re a fan of animals then the Donkey Sanctuary is the place to go. Open since 1997 this sanctuary has helped conserve donkeys on the island. There you can feed the animals and learn more about them. Donkeys are considered the preferred animal choice when it comes to work in the Caribbean. Arikok National Park is another stunning part of the island located in the southeastern end. Be sure to visit it if you’re into hiking.
